Artist Statement

My name is Siriaco Siricasso Garcia, a painter, muralist, screenprinter, event organizer, after-school art teacher, husband, and father.

Driven by a deep love for family, culture, and community. My journey as a full-time artist has led me to create over 40 murals across central Iowa, each one a vibrant reflection of personal and collective stories. Influenced by Chicano aesthetics, my style features bold figures outlined in thick black lines against colorful backdrops, creating large-scale works that are both visually striking and accessible to all. Collaboration is at the heart of my practice,  I regularly partner with artists from diverse backgrounds and organize events that give emerging creatives a platform to share their work and build confidence. Whether teaching youth or bringing people together through public art, my mission is to use creativity as a tool for connection, empowerment, and lasting community impact.
